Exciting news for CUET UG 2024 aspirants! The National Testing Agency (NTA) has just announced some important updates regarding the upcoming Common University Entrance Test for undergraduate admissions. If you’re gearing up for CUET 2024, here’s everything you need to know:
CUET Correction Window Now Open!
NTA has officially opened the CUET UG 2024 correction window, starting today, April 6. This window provides candidates with the opportunity to modify their application details until April 7, 2024. However, please note that modifications can only be made if your application form was submitted with fees on or before April 5, 2024.
In addition to editing existing details, candidates can also utilize the correction window to add more subjects, subject to applicable fees. The correction window link can be accessed at cuetug.ntaonline.in.
CUET Exam Dates & Format
Mark your calendars! The CUET UG 2024 exam is scheduled to take place over a 17-day period, from May 15 to 31, 2024. Despite the Lok Sabha elections scheduled from April 19 to June 1, 2024, there are no changes to the CUET exam dates, as confirmed by the UGC Chairman.
One of the major changes introduced in CUET 2024 is the adoption of a hybrid mode for the exam. Depending on the number of applicants, CUET UG will be conducted in either OMR-based or online CBT mode. The exam will consist of 6 subject choices, which can be selected from two combinations:
- 4 domain subjects, 1 language paper, and general test
- 3 domain subjects, 2 language papers, and general test
Candidates opting for only 5 subjects can choose 3 domain subjects, 1 language paper, and the general test paper. Additionally, the number of domain subjects has been increased to 29, with the inclusion of two new subjects – Fashion Studies and Tourism.
Admission Opportunities
Following the CUET 2024 results, expected to be released by June 30, 2024, successful candidates will have the chance to participate in the admission process for undergraduate courses across various universities. This includes 45 Central Universities, 37 State Universities, 32 Deemed Universities, and 133 Private Universities.
